 Restrictions: Must be a Law Enforcement Major; Must complete both parts (1 and 2) for full credit and equivalency with major requirements. Course Description: This course practices police-community relations while students are embedded in local community structures. Owing to a unique partnership between Metro State and One2One Mentoring, law enforcement students will work in a public-school setting to directly mentor youth and examine topics pertinent to 21st Century policing, including the history of policing in the United States, procedural justice, implicit bias, conflict de-escalation, and racial reconciliation.
